How long do the "experiences " last?Dinner is so much more than a meal at Pan de Vida Farmhouse. It's an experience, a special time of connection, and a fun memory. Every experience is a little bit different based off where God leads us for the night. A night with us lasts over four hours, which consists of different courses that not only fill your bellies but your soul. The farmhouse is yours for the entire night, with an intimate group and the personal attention from our entire family. As a family we work hard to give you a little taste of heaven and God's love. Our dinners reflect the power of the table when Jesus is at the center.
-
What is the dress code?Suggested attire is "farm fancy". The dinner experience is very elegant. It is hosted outdoors weather permitting, and in the winter months it is hosted inside. Bring layers/blankets and hats if hosted outside. Our painting experiences and workshops are more casual.
-
How much does it cost to attend a Pan de Vida Dinner/event?Our dinners and experiences are by cash donation and some special events are by a suggested cash donations. The average suggested donation for our multi-course dinner experiences is $50 per person. Our dinners reflect the value of the best ingredients we can find and our mission to provide people with an unforgettable life transforming experience. Your donation is essential to supporting our efforts to continue bringing the message of hope to those the Lord sends our way through the table. While it is a costly undertaking, given the rising cost of food, we trust in the generosity of our supporters and the providence of God to help sustain us.
-
Do you allow children? Our outdoor events are open to all ages, but are recommended for ages 21+. Given the limited number of seats for each experience, the nature of our menu, and length of our events, we encourage you to find a sitter unless your child is able to enjoy a long meal or class. Children and teens must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
-
Do you allow well-behaved dogs or pets at the events?Pets are not permitted at farm events.
-
Will I be able to see a copy of the menu before I arrive at the dinner experience? The menu is always revealed at the table. We design the menu in the days leading up to the event based on what is fresh and growing on our farmette and the local farms around us. We like to keep the meal hyper-seasonal and spontaneous!
-
What is the food like at Pan de Vida?We try to plan our menus around what is in season and what our local farmers have available. All of our meals are cooked from scratch using the best and healthiest ingredients possible. Our menu ideas are inspired by our favorite family meals. We are best known for our bread. Our bread is made by Marcos our son, using organic wheat flour that is freshly milled in house. We are not a restaurant and our goal is not to be one. We strive to provide our guests with a five star home environment. We believe that food is love, therefore love is always the main ingredient of our dinners.
-
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions or food allergies?Due to the nature of our shared meals and limitations with space and personnel, at this time we cannot honor special dietary requests. However, in most dietary restriction cases, we have found that it may simply involve skipping a course, which over the duration of the evening will still provide for an enjoyable experience. An evening with us consists of multiple courses made up of local ingredients including vegetables, poultry, dairy, and grains. At Pan de Vida we never serve pork or seafood except for wild caught salmon.
-
Is alcohol allowed at the events?Pan de Vida strives to maintain a Christ-centered family oriented environment, therefore we do not allow alcohol at our events.
-
What if it rains? If it rains, the event will probably be cancelled, unless we are able to make accommodations to move it indoors. The indoor space is very limited. You will receive an email notifying you of the cancellation as soon as we are aware that it is impossible to go through with the event due to bad weather.
-
Can I host a private event at your place? We pray and carefully consider every request. We make decisions based on many different factors. Our hope is that every event hosted at Pan de Vida is a celebration and a reflection of God's blessing over our lives. For more details send us an email.
